Application Programming Interface (API) is a built-in component in software that you only call it and use it without writing much code. For example, you can have an API that allows you to have access to twits on Twitter automatically. This saves the time of a programmer. In programming languages like Java and C++, you use keywords like “import” or include to import/include already written APIs to make programming easy.
